I love the holiday season. For Thanksgiving and Hanukkah, my family and I had a great get together at the home of one of my sisters. We get together there every year. The family keeps growing, and now we have small children again, YAY!… my twin grand-nephews (is that right? my sister’s grandchildren) and my little grandson. We all have so much fun! My favorite part is going around sharing what we are grateful/thankful for.

I have so much that I’m grateful for.  I love being able to create my art and to offer my work.  I like to share my happiness and my story.  If you know me, you know that color energizes me. I have decided that now with any purchase of my art (for which I am truly thankful and grateful)  I am able to donate a portion to Unite for Her. Purchases include both my original art & my products.  I explain more about this great Organization here.

It has been about 2 weeks since I opened my Sol Design online shop. It’s been so much fun to share products with my art on them.  Make sure to stop by the shop and check out all the different products you can get with one of my paintings on them. All the options of my paintings are not up yet. If you go to my Dora Ficher Art website and you see a different image that you would like to use in a product, let me know and we can make it with that image. Everything is Made to Order.

News from Dora Ficher Art:
I currently have an on going exhibit at The Sporting Club at The Bellevue in center city, Philadelphia. There you can see many of my original paintings such as the ones you see above (Mixed Media, Collage, Encaustic) You do not need to be a member to visit the exhibit. My art is displayed on the 1st floor of the club (8th floor of the Bellevue Hotel) right in front of the cafe. I live just a hop, skip and a jump from there, so let me know if you are going and I can meet you there. There will be a “meet the artist” day coming up. More info in a future email.

Coming soon: my new 2014 Calendar with art from my trip to France with my mom and my sisters. We celebrated my mom’s 85th birthday. Story coming with calendar. Stay tuned.

  1. Your energy and commitment is contagious Dora. You have been working hard and it looks like the investment is paying off.

I particular like your donations to United For Her. I do a similar donation for each work sold at my website and I give to one of 3 charities that support the Education for Girls.

    Keep up the good work.
